以前我一直以為，域名過期的順序是
Grace Periods 寬限期，停止解析，可原價續費。
Redemption Grace Period (RGP) 可贖回期，高價贖回
Pending Delete 待刪除

現在越來越多經營二手市場的註冊商，在釋出前會先自行拍賣，沒人要才釋出，所以我一直以為的順序是。

Pre-Release Auction
Pending Delete
結果竟然錯的。

參考 NameCheap 的說明
When the domain expires, your website and mail service will stop functioning, and no changes can be made to the domain. If you do not renew the domain name within the renew grace period, it may be auctioned off. If the domain isn’t auctioned off, it enters the RGP.

昨天撿了一個域名，今天就收到一封 Mail ，表示他的域名忘了續費，被拍賣了，還拿他之前的紀錄給我看，他表示原本是希望在贖回期買回，結果竟被拍賣了。

他願意出 200 大約是 Redemption Fee 的兩倍，看我能不能賣他。

雖然不可能賣他，我心裡就在想，原來我認知的順序是錯的。
拍賣不掉才會讓你有贖回的機會。

所以不應該稱為 Pre-Release Auction。
應該叫做 Pre-GRP Auction 。
